Then Dirk's mother passed away. When the Gestapo snatched his older sister, thirteen-year-old Dirk had to flee his home in the middle of the night. Dr. Robert Rakowczyk (rah-COVE-chik) is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician. Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, “Dr. Rob” attended New Mexico State University earning undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Philosophy before serving in the US Navy for seven years as a nuclear-trained Submarine Officer. .
